Algenist Advanced Anti-Aging Repairing Oil is my latest obsession! This new treatment oil is marketed as an anti-aging essence with a fast absorption formula. Over time, the microalgae oil is combined with ceramide and brown algae extract to help repair fine lines and wrinkles.
This is the basis of seaweed oil as well as fatty acid and ceramide and other vegetable oil extracts. It comes in a standard 1 ounce dropper bottle, which most facial oils like. It has a very light, almost lemon-free scent, which is very pleasant but subtle.
I have tried many of these facial oils in the past, but I have to say that Algenist Advanced Anti-Aging Repair Oil is probably the most moisturizing of all these facial oils. It has a smooth texture and can be easily applied to the skin and absorbed instantly. It makes my skin super soft, smooth and supple.
The main ingredients here are microalgae oil, ceramide and brown algae extract. Algenist focuses on plant algae products, so this is their USP. No, there are so many algae there and it doesn’t smell bad. It really has no taste.
The packaging is also beautiful-the glass bottle has a (very durable) opaque metal coating, except for a small calibrated vertical window on the side that can display the remaining product quantity. It also has a glass dropper with a fancy button on the lid to suck the product into the dropper instead of the usual rubber squeeze bulb.
I like this. I have repurchased it once, and I will probably repurchase it again. I like the texture, the packaging, and the effect it has on my skin.
